The International Meeting Point for the Furniture Supply Industry Intermob Opened Its Doors for the 28th Edition!
Intermob, one of the leading international meeting points for the furniture supply industry, has opened its doors in Istanbul for the 28th time, bringing industry professionals together once again. Taking place at the Tüyap Fair and Congress Center from September 17–20, 2026, the fair will connect a wide range of products, technologies and solutions for furniture manufacturing with industry professionals from Türkiye and around the world.
Organized by Reed Tüyap Fairs Inc. with the contributions of the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Trade and the support of the Furniture Accessories Manufacturers Association (MAKSDER) and the MDF and Particleboard Industrialists Association (YOMSAD), Intermob 2026 opened with the participation of Ahmet Güleç, Vice President of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM); Çetin Tecdelioğlu, Vice President of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM); Gökhan Kocabaş, Chairman of the Board of the Furniture Accessories Manufacturers Association (MAKSDER); Haluk Yıldız, Chairman of the Board of the MDF and Particleboard Industrialists Association (YOMSAD); Sinan Topuk, Chairman of the Board of the Fasteners Industrialists and Businesspeople Association (BESİAD); Berkan Öner, General Manager of Reed Tüyap Fairs Inc.; and representatives from across the industry.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ahmet Güleç, Vice President of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), highlighted that Türkiye is one of only four countries worldwide capable of manufacturing across every segment of the furniture industry.
“Over the past quarter-century, Türkiye has established a strong presence for its furniture across global markets, earning recognition for its quality, design and position in international trade. One of the key factors behind this success has been the development of a strong domestic supply industry. Türkiye continues to advance its furniture sector through design and patented solutions developed by its suppliers. Hardware and furniture accessories, in particular, are strengthening our competitiveness in markets around the world,” Güleç said.
Çetin Tecdelioğlu, Vice President of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), noted that Intermob’s uninterrupted 28-year journey represents a significant achievement and emphasized that complementary industries such as furniture accessories, hardware and fasteners collectively generate considerable economic value.
“We need to take these figures even further. To achieve this, we must produce more, export more and increase our share of global markets through sustainable and digital growth. We should welcome more than 5,000 international guests in the best possible way, build strong business relationships and turn these meetings into orders,” Tecdelioğlu said.
“Intermob Has Become a Recognized Industry Brand”
Gökhan Kocabaş, Chairman of the Board of the Furniture Accessories Manufacturers Association (MAKSDER), described the 28th edition of Intermob as an important meeting point for the industry.
“Intermob has become a recognized brand and a highly valuable fair that brings the entire ecosystem together. After each edition, we see renewed momentum in the industry. International visitors come to the fair and export-oriented business meetings take place. We hope that this year’s fair will once again contribute to a period of stronger growth for both our industry and manufacturers, in export markets as well as the domestic market,” Kocabaş said.
“Intermob Is a Key Meeting Point for Our Industry”
Haluk Yıldız, Chairman of the Board of the MDF and Particleboard Industrialists Association (YOMSAD), also emphasized Intermob’s importance as an industry meeting platform.
“It is an important fair where our customers come together and where we have the opportunity to meet with them every year. It also provides us with the opportunity to present our latest decors, patterns and products directly to our customers. For this reason, Intermob is a highly important event for YOMSAD,” Yıldız said.
Strong Industrial Synergy Between Intermob and Fastener Expo Eurasia
The co-location of Intermob 2026 with Fastener Expo Eurasia – Eurasia Industrial Fasteners and Fixings Trade Fair creates strong commercial interaction between complementary industries, expanding business and networking opportunities for professionals attending both events.
“Bringing Industry Professionals Together from Across the World”
Commenting on the fairs, Berkan Öner, General Manager of Reed Tüyap Fairs Inc., stated that more than 5,000 international visitors are expected to attend.

We hope that our fairs will make a meaningful contribution to Türkiye’s economy and pave the way for new business partnerships,” Öner said.

Türkiye’s Manufacturing Strength Connects with International Markets
Türkiye’s furniture exports reached approximately USD 4.6 billion in 2025, highlighting the sector’s importance in terms of both manufacturing capacity and export performance.
Intermob connects Türkiye’s strong manufacturing infrastructure and the extensive product capabilities of its furniture supply industry with international buyers and purchasing professionals. Through the Hosted Buyer Program, international buyers and exhibiting companies are brought together through B2B matchmaking based on their areas of interest and purchasing requirements. Pre-scheduled one-to-one meetings create a focused environment for developing new export opportunities and building long-term business partnerships.
Intermob also welcomes representatives of the international trade media from a range of countries, particularly Germany, Poland, Italy and Romania. International media professionals have the opportunity to follow the latest products, technologies and design trends shaping the furniture supply industry directly at the fair.
The Present and Future of the Industry Are Discussed at Intermob
Alongside its commercial and networking opportunities, Intermob 2026 hosts a series of events focusing on key topics shaping the industry’s current agenda.
As part of the ORSİAD Workshop Series 2026, sessions taking place during the first three days of the fair will bring industry representatives and experts together to discuss the current state of the forest products, flooring, door and cabinet door industries, as well as emerging market dynamics, sector-specific challenges and future opportunities.
By complementing Intermob’s trade-focused environment with knowledge and experience sharing, the program provides industry stakeholders with a platform to exchange perspectives and address the sector’s common priorities.
